Home / Supported Independent Living

Supported Independent Living (SIL) provider

24/7 support in a shared home, so you can live more independently with people you get along with.

What is SIL?

Support in your home, around the clock

Supported Independent Living is NDIS funding for help with daily tasks in a shared home, usually with two to four housemates. Your support team helps with personal care, meals, routines and getting out in the community, while you make the decisions about how you live.

  • 24/7 rostered support, including active overnight or sleepover shifts
  • Personal care, meal preparation and household tasks
  • Medication support and help managing health appointments
  • Support to keep up work, study, hobbies and friendships
  • A consistent house team who knows you and your routine

Who SIL is for

SIL suits people who need some level of support most of the day and night, and who want to live away from family or move out of a hospital or residential setting.

Getting SIL funding

How to get SIL in your NDIS plan

  1. Talk to us

Tell us what you’re looking for. We’ll explain vacancies and what living in our homes is like.

  2. Gather evidence

Your support coordinator and therapists put together a home and living request with reports about your support needs.

  3. NDIA decision

The NDIA reviews the request and decides on home and living funding in your plan.

  4. Move in

We agree a roster of care and service agreement with you, meet your housemates, and plan a settled move-in.
